This year, I’m sharing free worksheets for your little ones to enjoy — and it’s all about Filipino New Year traditions for January!

Some of the things included:

  • Wearing polka dots for good luck

  • Fireworks to welcome the new year

  • Having 12–13 fruits on the table

  • Jumping at midnight to grow taller

  • Eating 12 grapes — one for each month, and round ones for prosperity

To be honest, I haven’t kept up with all of these since moving overseas, but I still follow a few to reminisce and share with J. It’s a fun way to connect with culture while teaching little ones about Filipino traditions.

These worksheets are perfect for:

  • Holiday downtime before school starts

  • Waiting at a restaurant

  • Quiet play at home

  • Or just sparking conversations about Filipino culture

And of course, don’t forget to speak and think in Filipino while you’re at it!

I made these worksheets because I love coming up with fun coloring and activity ideas for J, and what better way than to share it with other kids too? 💛

I’m aiming to share these free worksheets 1–2 times a month, so stay tuned! I managed to do the Bisaya tutorials once a week for 6 months — well done me! Haha! Well, that’s the goal anyway for 2x a month. :)

Happy coloring and drawing! 🎨
