Okay so… mango float got quite popular again around New Year 2026. My feed was full of it. Everyone layering, chilling, slicing. Did I make one? No 😂

Fast forward one month later… I was decluttering the top of the fridge and found two UHT creams about to expire. That was my sign. It’s mango float time. Just slightly late to the trend haha.

This dessert has always been one of my favourites growing up. Although now that I think about it, I feel like my mum used to make peach float, not mango. I can still remember the taste. Yummylicious talaga.

I’m not the biggest fan of canned mangoes honestly, and J didn’t like the texture of the graham crackers. But our playgroup? They loved it. So that’s a win I guess 😂

Next time I really want to try this with fresh mangoes… or maybe canned peaches. I feel like peach float might be my true childhood memory.

Anyway, here’s the recipe — super easy, no baking needed.

🥭 Mango Float Recipe
Ingredients
  • 3 × 425g canned mangoes

  • 1 × 500ml cream

  • 1 × 395g condensed milk

  • 1½ packs graham crackers

Instructions

1. Chill first.
Refrigerate the cream and condensed milk for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Cold ingredients whip better.

2. Whip the cream.
In a large bowl, beat the cream until stiff peaks form.

3. Add condensed milk.
Pour in the condensed milk and mix until it becomes thick and stiff-ish again.
This mixing step gives the float that airy, full texture. So good.

4. Start layering.
In a rectangular container (glass is nicer so you can see the layers 😉):

  • Spread a thin layer of cream mixture at the bottom (so the graham crackers won’t move around).

  • Add a layer of graham crackers.

  • Add a layer of cream mixture, making sure all crackers are covered.

  • Add a layer of mangoes.

5. Repeat.
Graham → cream → mangoes.

Finish with a final layer of cream on top.

6. Optional but cute.
Decorate the top with sliced mangoes and crushed graham crackers if you fancy.

7. Chill overnight.
Refrigerate the whole thing overnight so the crackers soften and everything sets properly.

Slice, serve, and enjoy 🥭💛

Final Thoughts 💕

Honestly, even if I wasn’t obsessed with the canned mango, it still tasted nostalgic. And anything nostalgic automatically tastes better.

Next experiment: peach float. Stay tuned 😄
